28 041005 Mary Reflects on Time

I wanted to slam the door and go away for a long time,

To come back and look in the same mirror, but be visibly changed.

Adventure changed my perception of time.

In few short weeks so much has passed through me,

With slow speed to highlight the screaming monotony of my normality.

Time has accompanied me, grinding along in the slow creation of sediment,

I have fizzed from one emotion to another, worn out by minutiae,

Wasn’t it Einstein who said that my speed determines my time?

Close to the poles, intensity of time makes us too aware,

While here closer to the equator time lopes along without a care,

I’m going faster here around, that’s why,

My perception changed, more space until I die.
